Why'd we go to war again?

"A local journalist told me bitterly this week that Iraqis find it ironic that Saddam Hussein is on trial for killing 148 people 24 years ago, while militias loyal to political parties now in government kill that many people every few days. But it is not an irony that anyone here has time to laugh about. They are too busy packing their bags and wondering how they can get out alive." TimesOnline.co.uk

And the worst part is, everyone was gung-ho when we went to war - but that was the time to voice your opposition. That was the time to say something. The Iraq war has always been a war without a cause, so why does everyone want out now? Could they not see that this war would be long and hard? Wow the American public drives me crazy - why start something that you can't finish?

I've was always opposed to this war - it just didn't make any sense to me. Now, after reading that news article, I support it. Not because Sadaam Hussien was a bad person and not because I think there's WMD in Iraq. I support it because for the first time we're actually fighting for something - to piece together the country WE BROKE and get our boys out alive. How can we honestly leave the country like this? What we've created is a fertile breeding ground for terrorism. Now we've got to do something about it.
